WELCOME TO PETIT TETON FARM

Hi, we're Nikki and Steve. Eight years ago we bought a ranch in Mendocino County's Anderson Valley, 5 acres of which we developed into the Petit Teton farm (so named for a small mountain visible from the entryway). We have lived on 27th Avenue off Lake Street in San Francisco for more than 15 years as well. As the farm has grown, we spend more time there than in the City, but we still maintain the SF home and visit regularly. Our farm mission is to provide fresh, organic, and local produce and eggs to our San Francisco neighbors from our farm, which is a sustainable 100 miles from the Golden Gate Bridge.

You can find us every Saturday morning, winter and summer, at the Boonville Farmer's Market where for five years we have sold our produce and eggs and now our homemade foods. Look for the classic blue '51 Chevy pickup. For the past 2 years we delivered to our San Francisco neighbors a CSA box of vegetables, fruit, eggs and prepared food made from our produce each week during our May-November season.

And heeeere's Cam, a self-proclaimed "beginner" farmer who has several years of hard learning under his belt and has become very proficient with water systems, landscaping, and berry fencing. He is also our CSA delivery guy and he lives half time in the SF house. His background is in finance and he is a member of the CFA Society of SF.

We are excited to introduce our chef, Jason, a California native who has been in the culinary field for 15 years. Before and after earning his degree at the California Culinary Academy (CCA), he worked in fine dining restaurants throughout southern California. In the past 5 years he has been very interested in the farming of organic foods and medicines, and has worked as a seaweed harvester for a local company. Jason is looking forward to helping with the growth and sustainability of Petit Teton. As well as developing a line of jams, jellies, sauces, pickles and fermented foods with the produce, fruit, seeds and herbs grown here, he will be helping with the farming.

Cassie is a Texas native who moved to Ukiah in 2009 after graduating from college with a degree in Environmental Studies. She took a job with The Gardens Project as an AmeriCorps member and quickly became the Food Systems Project Assistant, establishing community gardens and increasing local food security. She is passionate about all things "food movement", and is happy to have joined the Petit Teton family with the prospect of learning about food production and spending time with her hands in the dirt.
